From hundreds of board games available, adventures in virtual reality, escape games unpublished, part bar-restaurant,… All in one area 3000m² whose scenery looks exactly like a Hollywood movie! You guessed it, this place that will open its doors in 2022. December 2 Flanders walkbetween Tourcoing, Roncq And Neuville-en-Ferrain, looks absolutely incredible. Designed in Belgium, concept Adventures of Orbis arrives in France introducing himself as ” the largest immersive leisure and dining space in the North“.
The metropolis of Lille was chosen for the first institution in France
Concept in 2020 presented by Vincent Radix. “After film and photography, he took his screenwriting talents to catering before moving into producing,” we're told. Therefore, he came up with the idea of creating a hybrid leisure park that would combine different passions with creativity and imagination. Its aim is to “blend entertainment and innovation to deliver the latest generation of adventure and leisure in the heart of cities”.
“We come to Orbi to share adventures, whether it's exploring temples, avoiding traps, challenging friends to board games, or dining in surprising surroundings.” Every visitor who enters the door becomes an explorer, immersed in a fantastic and exotic environment”, explains Vincent Radix.
After Liège, which opened last year, Orbis Aventures has chosen the north for its first location in France. At the beginning of 2023, another park is planned in the city of Bordeaux, which will open its doors on December 2 in the shopping center Aushopping Promenade de Flandre. It will be next to TFOU Park, which is mainly for children and their families and is scheduled to open on December 6.
The Orbis Lille-Tourcoing indoor leisure park will be spread over an area of 3,000 m² (2,500 m² + 500 m² terrace). At the site, visitors will find no less than ten immersive attractions: next-generation escape games, quick challenges, exploration missions in virtual reality… not forgetting the restaurant and game bar.
Immersive games, adventures and a board game bar
Visitors will find a variety of ways to have fun on site. First of all ” short games“, which lasts from 15 to 35 minutes and brings together 2 to 5 players. In immersive environments, each part combines special effects, virtual reality, physical challenges and intensity. Thus, participants face many challenges, such as “dive into the abyss to explore a submarine, demonstrate balance and sense of observation in a dangerous ancient chamber, or even test your skills with friends against others” terrible totems.
We might as well start one hour adventures, which require team coordination, monitoring and foresight. To do this, players will have to unravel the mystery of a pyramid full of dangers, take on challenges to reach a forgotten treasure, view artifacts with incredible properties, or discover the secret of a strange energy in a place that we thought was abandoned.
But the most unforgettable part will undoubtedly beOrbis Quest, a 2-hour immersive journey which will give players the impression of experiencing the film from the inside. Up to 8 players can participate. From the start, they will be teleported to the other side of the world and have to overcome 6 immersive environments in an intense scenario full of twists and turns. The goal? Explore, avoid dangers, escape from enemies and find allies to finally complete the assigned mission.
Finally, if you want to sit down at the table, head to the game bar located adventurer's lounge. Menu until 500 different games are available indefinitely. At the site, brokers help players choose from the many boxes, explain the rules and accompany players.
A restaurant and bar for traveling to the four corners of the world
Between the two missions, groups of friends and families can meet in the 1000 m² dining area. There is an on-site restaurant and bar with decorations to take you on a journey. Located in the Orbis Temple, the restaurant offers four different spaces: a cozy lounge, gardens under the gazebo, a bivouac and a terrace.
At the bar, you can sip a signature cocktail created by the in-house mixologists. The menu also includes a wide selection of beers, wines, soft drinks and tapas, which can be ordered in the game bar along with the wild games.
In terms of entertainment, about ten events are already planned for the general public, the schedule of which will be announced after the opening. Orbis Lille-Tourcoing teams can also help companies and private individuals organize personal (birthday) and professional (meetings, seminars) events.
