“I’m happy to announce that this will be my last ipl. I’ve had a great time playing this and being part of 2 great teams for 13 years. I’d like to sincerely thank the Mumbai Indians and CSK for a wonderful trip,” Rayudu tweeted.

But within an hour, the post was deleted because CSK owners and team management were completely taken aback by Rayud’s decision, which also raised questions about the communications channel in one of the most successful teams in IPL history.

“I can confirm that Ambati Rayudu is not leaving the IPL. Yes, he tweeted about it. It was possible that he was emotional when he tweeted. They talked to him and subsequently deleted this tweet,” CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan told PTI. .
