BERLIN (Reuters) – Producer prices in Germany fell in line with expectations in October from a year earlier, data from the Federal Statistics Office showed on Monday.

Those prices fell 11.0% year-on-year and 0.1% month-on-month last month, in line with analysts’ forecasts polled by Reuters.

Producer prices in Europe’s biggest economy posted their biggest annual drop (-14.2%) in September since data on the subject began to be collected in 1949, raising hopes for further easing of inflationary pressures.
