This is indeed the official confirmation we've all been waiting for: Activision is teaming up with AMC to bring gamers an unusual crossover with, Call of Duty x The Walking Dead !
The Walking Dead is available in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and Battle Royale
It's been weeks, if not months, since rumors suggested we'd be getting the rights to a Rick Grimes appearance via license, and now it's official, as a few hours ago Sledgehammer Games released the very first trailer for this long-awaited crossover.
Through the latter, which clearly pays homage to the credits of the world-famous zombie series, we learn that two new operators will appear through Modern Warfare 3, but also Warzone and it's rick grimThe main character of The Walking Dead, and Michonnea recluse who became his companion and wields his blades like never before.
Unfortunately, at the time of writing, Activision has remained rather tight-lipped about what awaits us with this crossover, but we can safely assume that we will have limited access to the Zombies mode from Modern Warfare 3, and maybe even. Battle Royale.
This collaboration comes as a spin-off featuring Rick and Michonne, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, just revealed in new trailers.
When is the Call of Duty x The Walking Dead crossover coming?
Here again, it's an absolute mystery about Rick and Michonne's appearance in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. however all indications are that we should have the rights to this crossover when season 2 rolls around.
If players are currently engrossed in season 1 reloads, If the current Battle Pass is to be believed, Season 2 of both titles should start on February 7, 2024., that is, in a short week at the time of writing these lines. The developers haven't made it official yet, but it should happen in the next few hours, unless there's a planned delay (which could happen).
