Top 150 in the world
As well as the 2022 ranking, the University of the Capital of the Alps is also located between 100 and 150 in the world.

“If this ranking should not be the sole concern of our university policy, it nevertheless salutes true excellence in scientific research,” said Metropolis President Christophe Ferrari in a press release.
Fifth in France
In addition to very good international results, the University of Grenoble can boast fifth place in the French ranking, again according to the study Shanghai 2023.
Grenoble has only four universities in Paris ahead of it. The first five:
- University of Paris-Saclay
- PSL University
- Sorbonne University
- Paris City University
- Grenoble Alpes University
Other French universities are also mentioned in this ranking, such as the universities of Lyon or Nice.
