23-24 of 2023 November
Argument
The rapid development of digital technologies has fundamentally changed the landscape
higher education in recent years. The growing integration of intelligence
artificial for all aspects of our lives, as well as the emergence of new solutions
advanced software such as Chat GPT requires university administrators to do so
reassessing their management and training methods to match this new one
environment. Although this transformation affects all academic fields,
the humanities in particular face some teacher reluctance
and students, despite its undeniable necessity.
University governance needs to adapt to this digital age by rethinking it
functioning. The aim is to guarantee high quality training, to introduce innovations
teaching and research methods to best prepare students
employment in this digital age. New pedagogical approaches, teaching
distance learning and blended learning modalities, as well as the creation of materials
innovative teaching methods aimed at gradually immersing students in the world
professional, requires joint efforts and unwavering commitment on the part of
university decision makers.
It is in this context that AFELSH will organize an international symposium on the 23rd and 24th
in November 2023 at Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon. The purpose of this conference
is to share best practices in university governance
facing current challenges. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the creation
training programs adapted to the new reality created by the new
technologies as well as research projects aimed at increasing employment opportunities
students. They will also explore ways to innovate methods
in the field of teaching and research, consistent with transformed governance, with a purpose
better professional integration of students.
